DALI SPEKTOR 2 Compact Speakers (Pair)

I love headphones and happiness is a long evening of listening to jazz through one of my favorite pairs. Too much dependency on headphones, however, can trigger neck strain. So, under doctor's orders, I went looking for a desktop speaker system. II decided to experiment with a pair of Spektor 2s powered by a Bluesound Powernode 2i. Boy did I guess right! I was worried about the bass from such a small pair of speakers, but even with the back of the speakers more than a foot away from the wall, the bass is deep and full. I was also worried about sound stage and imaging, but situated four feet away from each other on my desktop, the Spektor 2s do an impressive job of creating a near field monitor effect. I close my eyes and hear a tight sound field with a surprising amount of separation between the instruments being played. I think the ultimate compliment I can give these speakers is that I have twenty pairs of headphones in the room yet I have been listening to these speakers for five days straight.
