PATENTED SMC

The RUBICON LCR draws on the heritage from the SMC-based 'Linear Drive System', introduced with the EPICON series. With SMC, DALI achieves extremely low distortion and maximize detail, even at low volume. The drivers are manufactured in-house at DALI's production facilities in central Denmark and feature the latest in magnet motor technology. The RUBICON LCR sets new audio quality standards for Hi-Fi lovers around the world.

DALI HYBRID TWEETER

The DALI hybrid tweeter module makes use of a soft dome tweeter and a planar element, working together to create an amazing rendition of the high frequencies. The voice-coil used in the RUBICON LCR soft dome is extremely light and agile, helping it deliver a broader bandwidth. The planar tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and, in combination with the soft dome, reaches as low as 2.5 kHz, providing continuous wide dispersion as the soft dome becomes more directional at higher frequencies. This extreme bandwidth combined with the ultra-wide dispersion is an important part of the DALI sound philosophy.

Drawing on technology from EPICON series

The woofer cone has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure, which lowers the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures piston-like movement, significantly reduces the possibility of surface resonance and minimizes distortion. Designed specifically for the RUBICON LCR, the soft, low-loss rubber surround includes a cast-aluminum chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.

COMPACT CABINET

Featuring the same hybrid tweeter and low-loss wood fiber driver as the floorstanding RUBICON speakers, the LCR also includes an ingenious bass port configuration built into the back panel. Using the wall surface to extend its acoustic properties, the speaker delivers such unrivalled bass response that there's no need to add a subwoofer to your setup.
