Tip Tuesdays Edition 62: Audio Gear We’re Thankful For – Staff Picks & Sleeper Hits

Nov 18, 2025

Welcome back to Tip Tuesday! With Thanksgiving around the corner, we wanted to share the gear that makes us quietly thankful every time we use it. These are not about specs or bragging rights. They are the pieces we lean on day after day. Some are legendary, some overlooked, but all of them bring real joy to listening.

DALI Katch G2: Portable Wonder

For such a small speaker, the Katch G2 never fails to surprise us. It is easy to toss in a bag or move around the house, but once it is playing, you forget it is portable at all. The sound feels bigger than its size, with a balance that works in most rooms. With long battery life and a simple profile switch, it has become a go-to for spontaneous listening anywhere.

Bluesound NODE: The Streaming Heart

The NODE is one of those products that quietly makes everything easier. It is not flashy, but it pulls all your music together in one place, whether you are streaming high-resolution tracks or setting up multi-room playback. The interface feels natural, the sound holds up beautifully, and for many people it quickly becomes the “why didn’t I get this sooner?” part of their system.

PSB Alpha iQ: All-in-One Done Right

If the NODE is the heart, the Alpha iQ feels like the whole body. These powered speakers with built-in streaming are a complete system in two small boxes. For apartments, smaller rooms, or anyone who simply wants fewer cables, it is a straightforward setup that does not compromise on sound. We are thankful for how effortless it makes hi-fi. Plug in, connect, and you are set.

NAD Integrated Amps: Reliable Workhorses

Amps rarely get the spotlight, but NAD’s integrated models are the kind of gear you grow thankful for over time. They bring music to life with grip and warmth, giving speakers the headroom they need to really shine. They may not look flashy, yet they’re often the upgrade that transforms a system from good to unforgettable.

Gear is not about what is on paper. It is about those little moments when music simply clicks. These are the pieces that invite us to pause, listen, and be grateful.

What about you? What piece of gear are you most thankful for this year? Share your sleeper hits with us and you might see them featured in a future Tip Tuesday. Until next time, happy listening and Happy Thanksgiving!
